The given illustration describes the education level of Bulgarian citizens who intend to be expatriates in three years 2002, 2006 and 2008.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that the majority of Bulgarians that planned to leave their own nation were in secondary education. Also notably, the figures for higher education and elementary and lower education were almost equal.
It can be seen from the graph that in 2002, higher educated people in Bulgaria who wanted to live abroad contributed to 17 percent of the total percentage. While the rate for primary and lower education was a bit higher, about 18 percent. In the next four years, the percentages of both higher education and primary and lower education increased by a negligible amount, about one percent. How ever, in the year 2008, the category higher education underwent a significant decrease to just nine percent, meanwhile an opposite direction was seen in the portion of individuals who studied at primary schools, from 19 percent to 32 percent in 2008.
In the case of secondary school, in 2002, the number of secondary educated people constituted 65 percent. However, throughout the period shown, the number of people with leaving Bulgaria intention in this category fell gradually to 59 percent in the year 2008.
