The chart below gives information on the percentage of British people giving money to charity by age range for the years 1990 and 2010.

A glance at the bar chart provided reveals the statistics of British people donating money on purpose of charity by different age groups in 1990 and 2010.

Overall, people who were at the age of 36-50 took up the highest proportion of donating at the beginning while those from 51 to 65 years old dominated at the end of the period. The figure of the youngest (18-25), however, was the lowest in the two given years.

It can be seen from the chart that people aged between 36 and 50 provided the most money to charity in 1990, at the vicinity of 45% that stood in the first position. The figure had a moderate drop at 35% in the next given year, which was equal to the figure of people over 65 years old. The time of 2010 saw a slight upward trend of citizens aged 51-65 by approximately 10% to take up the highest proportion.

Regarding the folks from 18 to 25 years old, the figure commenced at over 17%, then witnessed an exponential decline at about 7% that still accounted for the smallest percentage through the years. There was a similar trend in the figure of citizens who stayed from 26 to 30 years old, which slightly fell by about 7% in 2010.
