The chart below gives information on the percentage of British people giving money to charity by age range for the years 1990 and 2010.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar graph compares the proportion of British donators belonging to various age groups in two years, 1990 and 2010.

Overall, it can be easily noticed that the vast majority of money came from donators older than 36 years old.

According to the graph, in 1990, people ranging from 18 to 25 years old contributed the least share, at just over 15%, while the figure for those who fell into 26-35 age group was double, at over 30%. However, the year 2010 saw relative drops in the figures for both age groups. Only 7% of British residents made donations, which was the lowest figure in this year. Also, the proportion of donators from 26 to 35 years old experienced a downward trend, falling to approximately 25%.

Also discernable from the graph, the vast majority of donators were older people. In 1990, over 40% of people between 36 and 50 years old made charitable donations, which was the greatest figure for this year. The number of donators falling into 51-65 and over 65 age groups were slightly lower, at 35% and 32% respectively. However, twenty years later, the trends varied among different age groups. While more people in 51-65 and over 65 age groups made donations in 2010 compared to 1990, there was a slight fall in the percentage of donators who were between 36-50 years old.
