The chart illustrates the information about the charity work done by British people percentage-wise by various age groups in the years 1990 and 2010.
Overall at the beginning of the period, most of the charity work was done by middle-aged people and at the end of the period, the majority of the charity was from old people and a young-adult group of people was involved least in charity in both years.
The middle-aged people of ages from 36 to 50, almost 40% did the majority of the charity work in 1990 while this number fell by about 6% in the year 2010. And almost 30% of the people of ages from 26 to 35 did charity work in 1990 as compared to 2010 only 24% of people did charitable work. In the year 1990, people aged between 51 to 65 took their greater share in charity estimated at about 35% while this number rose after 20 years by about 4.5%. The number of people ages greater than 65 took part in charity work was 32% in 1990, this figures increase slightly by 3% in the year 2010.
In contrast, the age group did less charity work of all groups include people ages 18 to 25, which was approximately 15% in 1990 which decreased significantly by about 9% in 2010.
