The Chart, as shown below, indicates the percentage of Jamestown residents who used social media during 2018, by their age.
Overall, the percentage of teenagers and youth, whose ages vary from 13 up until about 34 years old, who used social media in Jamestown during 2018 outnumbered those users from the mid-30s until approximately 55 years old.
Concerning James Town residents whose ages differ from 13 years old until about 25 years old, they reached two fifths of the total number of social media users back in 2018. The same can be considered for those users who are in their mid-20s and 30s and who achieve a percentage of just over a third of the overall residents of the town compared to other users.
The trend for social media users who are above 36 years old is totally different; about 18% of the social media users in Jamestown are people who are around 36- to 45-years-old, which is a dramatic decrease. Also, those who are in their late 40s and mid-50s score about 10% of the total number of social media platform users. The percentage of those who are over 55 years old declined sharply to just 2% of the whole town’s social media users.
