The bar chart illustrates how much money was expended per weeks on three of junk foods by income groups in Britain, while the line graph shows the number of fast foods consumed from 1970 to 1990. In general, it can be seen that the consumption of hamburgers increased over the period in the question, and the spending on these fast food of income groups was the most popular in Britain.
To begin, the amount of money on hamburgers in the high-income group was three times higher than the low-income group, approximately 40% and 14% respectively. Otherwise, there was half as the expenditure on the pizza of the average income as the high income, about 11% and 20% respectively.
Meanwhile, we can see from the graph that the consumption both of the hamburgers and the pizza saw an upward trend. In 1990, the hamburgers reached a peak, over 500 grammes while consume pizza was lower the hamburgers, about 280 grammes, between 1970 and 1990.
