The chart below shows the annual number of rentals and sales( in various formats) of film from a particular store between 2002 and 2011.Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart illustrates the number of films rented and sold according to three film formats.

Overall, while DVDs sale showed an upward trend over the period, the rentals showed a downward trend. Blu-ray films appeared whereas VHS disappeared.

Rentals started at nearly 200.000 units which was the highest one among four categories and double the figure for DVDs and quadruple that of rentals. Afterward, rentals decreased steadily and ended up at approximately 50.000 times in 2011. In 2002, the number of DVDs was 50.000 disks, it then rose speedly before reaching a peak in 2007. This format declined gently in the next year and finally ended around 200.000 discs. As a result, this categorized became the highest ranks between the two formats of sales. Noticeably, in 2004, the number of DVD sales outnumbered that of rentals. Otherwhile, the number of VHS sales was smaller than rentals at nearly two times that of rentals (100.000 tapes) in 2002 and thus, it fell gradually until 2006. This format totally disappeared from the store. After 2006 - 4 years timescale until the disappearance of VHS sales. Blu-ray was first introduced in the store in 2007 with the modest number of copes of 10000. This number was surging in the last duration, at around 20000 units
