The given bar chart indicates the data in percentage of modes of transportation for the year 1950 to 1990.

According to the chart around 5% people chose car to commute in 1950 which increased in 1970 and steady at 25%, but after that, the number of car users raised sharply and fixed around 65% in 1990. Whereas, as is shown in the chart 32% people prefer bike in 1950 to travel but it declined day by day and in 1990 it steady near by 9%.

Between 1950 to 1990, the number of bus users increased from 21% to 32% but as people prefer personal vehicles, the number of bus commuter fell down to nearly 14% in 1990. In the year of 1950 more people prefer to walk to travel as compared to others at 40% b it shrink by the day and it fixed a 10% in 1990

Finally, its clear that cars indeed became the favorite choice as compared with other in over the period of four decades.
