The column chart illustrates the changes and differences in proportions of water levels of reservoirs provided by six different urban areas in Australia from 2009 to 2010. Overall, what stands out from the graph is that there were upward trends in most categories, except for Sydney that bucked the trend. Noticeably, the most remarkable change could be found in Gold coast city.
In particular, when it comes to Brisbane, the graph witnessed a slight increase of 3% from 95% to 98% in water levels of reservoirs, which constantly accounted for the highest numbers. Regarding Melbourne, Perth and Gold coast, the percentages of water levels stood at 76%, 80% 65% in 2009, then increased sharply to 88%, 84% 75% respectively.
Similarly, concerning Darwin, a growth of 3% from 35% to 38% was experienced in the figure, which consecutively constituted the lowest percentages. In stark contrast, in terms of Sydney, it demonstrates the opposite trend, with percentage decreasing from 45% to 40%.
