The proportion of total consumers buying several kinds of items and services in three countries namely Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom the previous year is demonstrated in this bar chart.
Overall, in terms of each particular category, the proportion of total buyers purchasing items, ranked in ascending order are usually as follows: the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.
It is of note that online music purchase in the UK accounted for the highest proportion among the three countries, with approximately 65 percent, meanwhile, Australia’s figure was 20 percent less than the former's number. Regarding Canada’s highest online market share category compared with that sector in others, it was the toys sector that accounts for 25 percent of total domestic buyers. Surprisingly, buying toys online seems to be out of the ordinary since the percentage of this sector in the UK was the lowest figures in comparison with other countries’ number as well as other sectors in the UK, at 2 percent.
As regards Australia, books and computer equipment were the most popular items buying online, since both categories made up for over 45 percent. Interestingly, the rate of book purchase over total purchaser in Canada was exactly equal to the aforementioned percentage in Australia.
