In addition, the average amount of money spent on cars was the highest while that for perfume was the lowest in both countries.
To be exact, the figure for cars reached a peak in each country, at 400,000 and 450,000 pounds in France and the UK respectively. Regarding the category of books, the British spent around 100,000 pounds more than the French, 400,000 compared with 300,000 pounds.
