The chart below shows the expenditure of two countries on consumer goods in 2010

The bar chart compares the spending of consumers in France and the UK in terms of 5 different kinds of stuff in 2010.
Overall, it is clear that people in the UK had a tendency to spend more money on goods than French did. In addition, both citizens in two examined countries showed their most preference on cars.
To begin with, the expenditure of the UK on consumer goods surpassed the other nation regardless of car, book and camera categories. To be more explicit, people poured the majority of their budget into cars, with 450000 pounds sterling by English and only 400000 pounds sterling by French. In general, consumers also allocated relatively large proportions of their incomes to books. While the amount of money used for buying books in France was 300000 pounds sterling, the figure for the UK was considerably higher than that, at about 400000 pounds sterling. Similarly, the number of cameras consumed by the UK gained the turnover at around 350000 pounds sterling in 2010, nearly twice as much as the figure for France.
In contrast, the trend was reversed for France in terms of computers and perfume groups. There was a slight difference in the spending on computers in 2 countries. Computer users in France invested approximately 380000 pound sterling in this type of goods, whereas the figure for people in UK was lower, at 350000 pound sterling. Meanwhile, perfume was paid for at least among 5 shown goods, the budget for buying perfume in France and the UK were 200000 and about 150000 pound sterling respectively.
