The chart below shows five countries where australia students studied from 2004 to 2006

The chart illustrates how the number of students coming from Australia in five different countries changed between 2004 and 2006.

Overall, it can be seen that the USA and New Zealan were the most popular destinations for Australian students eager to go abroad, with the figures increasing during the whole period. The least number of students whose nationalities were Australian chose to study in Germany and Japan.

In 2004, the number of students from Australia deciding to pursue their study career in the USA was more than 2500 while the figure for New Zealand was slightly lower than that. Both countries experienced a significant surge in the next 2 years. While the USA reached its peak at approximately 2800 in 2006, New Zealand’s number of Australian students remained the same at relatively 2600 after a rise of more than 900 in 2004. Regarding the figure of the UK, which was more than half of that of the USA, the same trend as the New Zealand was observed with a marginally increase from 1500 to 1600 in 2004 and stayed unchanged in 2006.

As regards Germany and Japan, both countries were less attractive among Australian students as the numbers were always under 500 students with the figure for Japan higher than that of German in 2004. However, after experiencing a decline to nearly 300 in 2004, the statistic of Germany made a successful recovery with a remarkable growth of roughly100 in 2006, which was higher than that of Japan.
