The chart illustrates the number of households in the US, which was sorted by the level of their yearly earnings in 2007, 2011, and 2015.
Overall, households of which the owners gained 75,000 dollars to 99,999 dollars presented the lowest numbers despite a slight increase. The opposite was true for households owners who had a yearly income of 100,000 dollars, except for the year 2011.
As can be seen, in 2007, the number of owners who earned about 100,000 dollars a year was the highest, at below 30 million, followed by the group of income ranging from 25,000 to 49,999 dollars and less than 25,000 dollars, at 27 million and 25 million, respectively. Whereas the year 2011 witnessed a dramatic rise by around 5 million of the two latter groups, the former still peaked at approximately 37 million.
Meanwhile, the figures for house owners who annually gained 50,000 to 74,999 dollars almost remained the same, at above 20 million. It is also noticeable that in spite of having climbed from under 15 million to 15 million, that of households with an annual income of 75,000 to 99,999 dollars was still the lowest.
