Overall, internet usage had a tendency to decline in terms of age. It can be seen that the older people got, the less internet they utilized. More remarkably, adults who aged 18-28 years old spent much time on surfing the internet on a daily basis rather than other categories during a period of 4 examined years.
According to the chart, there was a significant difference among age groups in the UK who used the internet everyday. To be more specific, the UK's internet users were prone to decrease according to their age groups. While the young ( from 18 to 28 years old) was the leading group in terms of the proportion of daily internet usage with at least 60% of the total, these figures for other age groups were lower with only average 10% for the adults who aged 66 and over.
Furthermore, during a period from 2003 to 2006, the year 2003 witnessed the lowest data in the percentage of people using internet services.
