Overall, it is clear from the chart that all sports attracted more players than viewers, except for tennis. Furthermore, tennis also made up the most significant percentage while badminton was the lowest widely chosen.
Regarding the number of female participants aged 16-25, tennis and golf accounted for the highest proportion with 30%, followed by athletics and basketball represented roughly a fifth. On the other hand, horse riding and badminton, which were almost 15% and 12%, respectively, were the lowest categories.
The majority of the percentage of 16-25-year-old female audiences was tennis which amounted to half of the viewers. Athletics and basketball attracted an equal proportion at about 15%, recorded as the second highest rate of female audiences, followed by golf at a tenth. In contrast, during the same year, horse riding and badminton made up the same lowest percentage, with only 5% of the viewership rate.
