The chart provides the proportions of men and women teachers in six different types of educational setting in the UK in 2010. nursery and primary have much more women than men but in university, males are more while the rest of others are balanced.
nursery/ Pre-school women percentage was up to 96% and it was the highest percentage compared with other educational settings. but the largest number of male ratio in university is 70%. In primary school, men percentage was a little bit higher than nursery as 2%.
For the secondary college and private training institute the ratios were not much different. For the exact percentage secondary men teacher ratio was 46% as same as private training institute women teacher ratio. And college ratio of males and females were the same at 50%.
Therefore, the education settings for most of higher age teachers were men and the lower age were vice versa. However the secondary, college and private training were balanced.
