The chart below shows the percentage of male and female teachers in six different types of educational setting in the UK in 2010.

The bar chart gives information about the proportions of both men and women teaching at six various types of educational institutions in the United Kingdom in 2010.
Overall, while females dominated the low levels of education, a reserve trend can be seen for private training institute and university. It is also clear that there was an equal distribution of male and female teachers at college.
Female teachers at nursery/pre-school and primary school accounted for around 95% and 90% respectively. Over the same time, the figure for men at these two levels was by far lower, at merely less than 10%. In addition, more than 50% of women taught at secondary school, which was higher than that of men (over 40%).
When it comes to private training institute, male teachers made up nearly 58% of the total compared to 48% of female ones. Similarly, there was approximately 70% of men as opposed to about 30% of women at university. In comparison, the percentage of college teachers from both genders was equal, at 50%.
