The chart gives information about Australian citizens’ coffee and tea using manners from five different cities.
Overall, it is noticeable to see that people coming to a coffee shop for tea or coffee made up the greatest percentage. On the contrary, individuals bought fresh coffee least.
In Sydney, the share of purchasing fresh coffee accounted for almost 45%, nearly equal to three-fourths of going to a café with over 60%. While in Melbourne, the proportion of having coffee or tea at a coffee shop was 65%, one-and-a-half as much as buying fresh coffee with 43%. In the rest, the figure for coming to a coffee shop was substantially higher than that of buying fresh coffee.
In almost all five Australian cities analyzed, people were interested in buying instant coffee right after going to a café to have one. In detail, in four cities namely Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Hobart, the percentage of having instant coffee constituted around half of the population, with 45%, 49%, 53%, and 54% respectively. However, Adelaide’s citizens preferred having instant coffee, with 50%, to buying fresh coffee and going to a café, with 34% and 49% respectively.
