Overall, the consumption of fast food over the 2005-2021 period was increase regarding to almost all types of dishes concern, except hamburger. This visible trend is predicted to grow up in the future.
In the period of 16 years, hamburger is the dominant in consumption in melbourne, although there is a small decrease, with 40 units used in 2005, dropping to 30 at the present. Howeover, it is predicted to recover in 2025 with 51 units. In the opposite situation, fried chicken has a gradual jump by 2 units from 35 in 2005 whereas salad a triple growth from 5 units. Moreover, in 2025, both are expected to rise.
In 2005, the amount of fried rice and noodles consumed was equal at 6 units. Until now, fried rice has risen by 3 units and noodles by 2. After slight increases, consumption of noodles is expected to continue in 2025 while fried rice would remain at the present figure.
