Three different types of the United Kingdom’s phone call durations between 1995 and 2002 are illustrated in the graph. Overall, there were two kinds of telephone call (cellular and national and international) experienced an increasing trend, while the local call was fluctuating. In addition, the highest number of phone call duration observed in 1999.
The local – fixed-line witnessed as the biggest number in the reported years. In the first years, it stood at approximately 70 million. Then, in three following years (1996 to 1999), the figure showed a similar pattern, increasing at around 5 million a year, and, reaching to the peak number in 1999 (90 million). Following which, the figure decreased steadily and ending the period at around 85 million in 2002.
In 1995, the number of minutes for the national and international calls was half that of the local. Then, it saw a slight increase (around 4 million per year) from 1996 to 2001 and finished 65 million in the final year. Furthermore, the figure for the mobile call was the lowest among the group. It stood just below 5 million in 1995 and finished about a ten-fold increase in 2002.
