The chart makes a comparison of the amount of time spent by offspring with their parents on the weekdays and on the weekends in five different age groups.

In general, all age groups of children always had a greater amount of time with their mom on the weekdays than the figure for their dad and both of them. In addition, unlike on weekdays, on the weekends, children in all age groups always spent the largest amount of time with both their parents.

Looking at the weekdays, the amount of time spent by children with mom was always around 4 to 6 hours. By contrast, the figure for male counterparts is rather low, at almost 2 hours and the most time spent by the 4-5 group. Meanwhile, children devoted little time to both their parents, only around 1 to 2 hours per day and the age group 6-9 had the highest amount of bonding time with their parents.

Moving to the weekends, about 4 to 6 hours a day was the amount of time spent by children with both spouses. Children almost spent no time with their father, with the highest amount being at just over 1 hour for the 4-5 group. Finally, the number of hours expended by children with their mom was always around at 4 hours in all age ranges .
