In 2003, 17% people went to fast food restaurant several times a week, which was a half lower than the figure for its counterparts who did so once a week and once or twice a month, representing at 32% and 30% respectively. Three years later, there was a slight increase by 3% in the porportion of eaters several times a week and once a week reached a peak of 33% , but witnessed a drop of 8% in once or twice a month. In 2013, the percentage of American who had a meal once or twice a month stood at the highest, 33% meanwhile the figures for once a week and several times a week reduced nearly 5 %.
In 20103, the proportion of eaters who had a meal out of home a few times a year gained 13% and hit the plateau in the rest period. With regard to two frequencies, the percentage of “ Everyday” and “ Never” were all less than 5% during the whole ten years.
