The bar chart illustrates the rate at which airline passengers of Wright Brothers Airways filled the seats in three different years( 2005, 2010 and 2015). The figures are given as percentages.
Overall, it is clear that the premium economy class was the most preferred, followed by the economy and first class in the three years. Airline commuters least preferred the business class in 2010 and 2015.
In 2005, 85% of the passengers occupied the premium economy, however, this figure increased by one in ten to 95% in 2010 and 2015 respectively. Similarly, equal proportions of people filled up the economy and first class in the first two years at 80% each. What is more, while economy class increased by 10% passengers, first class went up by a mere 5% in the final year.
Interestingly, a reverse trend can be noticed in the business class amongst the four categories. A dramatic drop was noticed in the number of seats being filled from 2005 to 2010. Exactly 90% of its seats were filled in 2005, after which it fell by more than a third to 65% five years later. Following this, there was an increase of 10 percentage points to 75% at the end of the period.
