The present diagrams illustrate the proportion of screened movies that produced in the UK, Australia, the USA, and other countries cinema which are shown in 2001 in the UK and Australia and also, the acceptance trend of cinema in the UK and Australia over a thirty-year period, from 1975 to 2005.

Looking at the first chart, it can be seen obviously that the most popular movies were American films in both counties, by 67 per cent and 75 percent in Australia and the UK, respectively.

On the other hand, the second popular movies in the UK were their cinema industry production by around 20 per cent while in Australia, other films got the second degree in popularity by approximately 20 per cent. In Australia, the lowest proportion of shown movies was related to the Australian films by about 5 per cent, however this category of films were shown in the UK about 11 per cent.

Turning to the second diagram, an overall view indicates that despite the several fluctuation, cinema admission experienced an upward trend in both countries, however the figures of the UK were higher that the Australian figures in all years.

In 1975, the amount of cinema admission in Australia was around 40 million while this figure was 100 for the UK. In 1985, both countries experienced a lowest point, while after that they showed an increased and reached a peak.
