The bar chart provides information on how much fast food was consumed by men and women of different age groups during 2015.
Overall, there was a decreasing trend in the number of calories gained in both the genders with an increase in age. However, in all the age groups, men gained higher calories compared to women.
It is evident from the graph that the calories gained by consumption of junk food decreased with an increase in age in males. The males in the age group of 18-34 ate the highest quantity of fast food, getting around 17% calories. This trend steadily decreased, reaching to approximately 9% calories in 50-64 aged men and then reached the lowest point of just above 4% calories in 65 and above 65 years old men.
Similar trend was also observed in women. Females in the age group of 18-34 consumed the highest amount of junk food, resulting in a gain of 16% calories. women in the 50-64 age group gained just above 8% calories by fast food intake. Akin to the males, 65 and 65+ women had less intake fast food, which gained them with the least calories of above 3%.
