The provided pie charts illustrate the average percentage of each nutritious kinds in three typical meals consumed in the USA.
At first glance, dinner required the largest amounts of two out of three nutrients, namely sodium and saturated fat, while most added sugar was eaten in snacks.
On average, it is noticeable that sodium and saturated fat stood at the first rank in the evening meal, at 43% and 37% respectively. By contrast, added sugar, which accounted for only 23% at dinner, contributed the highest detail to the percentage of it in snacks, at 42%.
Looking at the pie charts in more detail, we can see that there were the same figure for the smallest amount of sodium consumed at breakfast and dinner, which were less than a fifth. Likewise, just 16% saturated fat and 16% added sugar were eaten at breakfast. In addition, the rates of the three types of nutrients seemed quite same at lunch, which formed 29% sodium, 26% saturated fat, and 19% added sugar.
