The charts below show the average percentages in typical meals of three types of nutrients all of which may be unhealthy if eaten too much

The three pie charts illustrate the average proportion of sodium, saturated fat and added sugar that may be deleterious if overeaten in typical meals in the USA.
Overall, dinner includes the most sodium and saturated fat percentage-wise, while the most added sugar is contained in snack servings. Similarly, breakfast is the smallest segment of saturated fat and added sugar, whilst sodium’s lowest consumption is made by snacks and breakfast simultaneously.
The first chart shows the average percentage of sodium. The largest segment is contributed by dinner with 43%. Snacks and breakfast simultaneously include the smallest proportion of sodium, which added about 14% for each meal. After eating lunch, 29% of sodium is consumed. The second chart gives information about saturated fat’s proportion. By having dinner, the amount of saturated fat is contributed to 37% of consumption. Snacks consume 21% saturated fat per meal, followed by breakfast with 16% and lunch with 26%. The last chart illustrates the amount of added sugar consumed through meals. The biggest percentage of added sugar is contributed by having snacks. By eating breakfast, the body consumes 16% of added sugar. Lunch contains 19% of added sugar every meal and dinner also includes 23% added sugar.
