The pie charts illustrate the ratio of sodium, saturated fats and added sugar in United State inhabitants’ daily meals and all of these ingredients may affect health quality if they are overconsumed.
In general, people tend to eat food contained sodium and saturated fat when they have dinner and lunch. Meanwhile, the proportion of sugar in their snacks accounted for the highest number.
In details, both sodium and saturated fat are the top consumptions for dinner which are 43% and 37%, respectively. However, added sugar used that time is just considered the second with 23% in aggregate. In addition, the amounts of these three types of elements fluctuate around 14% to 16% at breakfast dishes. Next, 29% is the percentage of sodium consumed at lunch, followed by saturated fat (26%) and added sugar(19%).Finally, the added sugar rate at snacks time used is 2 to 3 times higher than sodium at 14% and saturated fat at 21%, which takes up to 42%.
