The two charts show the changes in the families owning electrical appliances and the relative amount of time they spend doing housework in households in one country in nearly 100 years, between 1920 and 2019.
The first chat shows the percentage of households with electrical appliances includes washing machine, refridgerator and vacuum cleaner. Regarding to the washing machine, the percentage accumulate in a slowly way. From 1920 to 2019, the percentage just increased about 30%. In other aspect, the percentage of the households using refridgerator increased strongly. From 1920, which had the usage at 0% low to 2019, which had the usage reached 100%. The usage of refridgerator increased about 40%-50% each 20 years from 1920 to 1960. vacuum cleaner also had a big change which also reached 100% of usage in 2019.
According to the second chart showing the number of hours of houseworks per week, per household, they spent less time for houseworks. That amount minified clearly in a strong way from 50 hours per week to 10 hours per week.
In overall, electrical appliances have a huge affect in people lives. The bigger percentage of households owning electrical gadgets, the smaller number of hours people doing houseworks. they relate to each other with inverse ratio.
