The line graphs information about the shifts in ownership of electricity-based items as well as the amount of housework time undertaken weekly in a 100-year frame ( 1920-2019)

It is clearly shown that, the number of washing machine, refrigerator and vacuum cleaner possessed in a household witnessed an upward trend during the period, while the the number of hours spent on household chores saw a contrary one.

Regarding the first chart, 40% of families had the washing machine, which increased slightly to 75% in 2019, in spite of a fractional drop during 1960 and 2000. The ownership of vacuum cleaner and fridge were 30% and 0% respectively in 1920. Subsequently, both of these figures climbed up considerably, and the latter has surpassed the former since 1940. Interestingly, both the washing machine and vacuum cleaner appeared in every family.

According to the second diagram, residents spend an appropriate 50 hours on housework, which steadily reduced to 20 hours in 1960. For the rest of the period, this figure nearly remained sustainably.
