The charts below show the most popular films by genre for men and women and general ticket sales for different types of film in the USA in 2010.

The bar chart compares the percentage of men and women watched the different types of film, while the pie chart shows the demand of movie tickets in the USA during the year 2010. In general, the men enjoyed spending their time on watching movies than the women and the action movie was most popular among audience than other kinds of films. Overall, male audience liked to watch action movie and then romantic comedy was popular among the female group. On the sales of tickets, other types of film were least interested among movie lover while action movie taken the first place in the list.
In detail, what stands out from the graph is that the rate of watching comedy and western movie in both genders was the same, at 20% and 10% respectively. The action movie in male audience was two times more popular than comedy film with 40%. The romantic movie took the first place among the female audience with 30%.
The most interesting point from the sales on movie ticket is that action film was obviously dominant on other types of movies and it took almost the half of percentage in movie industry. The comedy movie followed by the action movie with 24% and the remaining types of films (romantic comedy, thriller and other) taken 27% in the chart.
