The charts below show the number of French adults whose parents spoke a French regional language to them when they were children and the number who speak a French regional language to their own children

The Bar charts demonstrate the number of French Grown-ups whose parents used to communicate with them in a French regional tongue when they were young, and the number of adults who stayed the course with their offspring.
Overall, the charts suggest that the number of French senior citizens who speak regional languages in the new generation is less than it was in the former one.
The statistical analysis of the gathered data between spoken occasionally and fairly regular illustrates that from the five spoken regional languages Alsatian and Occitan top the table in being the most used languages between the prior generations with a vast advantage for the latter one with nearly 1 million more than Alsatian, whereas, Breton and Creole were overall spoken by 650 and 220 thousand respectively , lastly, Corsican bottom the table with 180 thousand speakers.
The analysis continues in showing the number of adults who kept their accents and adopted it to communicate with their own children later on, in this aspect Alsatian is in the lead with a total of 400 thousand citizens kept their mother tongue, Occitan, however, despite being the most spoken language between the old families, placed second with almost 250 thousand speakers, Corsican remains last with a roughly 70 thousand speakers.
