The pie charts illustrate data on the changes in the distribution of water consumption in various fields in Sydney of Australia between 1997 and 2007.

Overall, it is clear that food production accounted for the highest amount of water, while the opposite was true for the construction area. Additionally, the figure for household intentions and manufacturing witnessed total rises throughout the observed period.

More specifically, the food industry was the greatest contributor to water usage, with a rate of roughly a half in 1997, decreasing slightly to above 40% in 2007. Meanwhile, 15% of water consumption was used for manufacturing at the beginning of the period. However, by 2007, its figure had dropped by 4%, at just over one-tenth.

Building sectors contributed the lowest figure for the total amount of water consumption, with only 5% and 2% in 1997 and 2007, respectively. In addition, despite starting at only 13% in 1997, the figure for the service industry increased significantly to a quarter, while the rate of water consumed in the household area remained its stability of around one-fifth over a decade.
