The bar charts compare and contrast data on the difference in the proportion of children divided by two genders aging from 5-14 years old enjoyed four distinct Australian cultural events and did some sports in 2003.
A closer look at the diagrams highlight the fact that both genders had a tendency to participate in sport events rather than cultural activities in 2003.
More specifically, drama and singing were the least favored activities among the others with roughly 5% for each gender taking part in these two events. Meanwhile, sport was the most popular activity with 70% and 50% of boys and girls enjoying respectively. The biggest gap between two sexes occurred in Australian traditional dancing. The figure girls participating in this activity was 25% which was fifty times larger than that of boys. However, the opposite is true for playing traditional musical instruments with 10% of female taking part in, whereas their counterparts showed a higher tendency to enjoy this with an increase of 5%.
