The charts below show the performance of a bus company in terms of punctuality, both actual and target, and the number of complaints and passengers.

The bar charts compare the percentage of services departing punctually, both actual and target, and the number of negative feedbacks and bus users. Figures are given from 1999 to 2003.

It is clear from the charts that actual departure times were normally less on-time than expected. Only in 2003, the real figure was slightly higher than the target one in the same year. Meanwhile, the number of complaints rose gradually over the period shown.

In 1999, the figure for real on-time arrivals stood at 85% and the target was just 1% higher, at 86%. In the next year, the company’s target remained at the same level but the actual figure dropped to 82%. As a result, in 2001, the company reduced the expected percentage to 65% and the real figure rose back to around 84,5%. 2002 had the same level of target and the proportion of on-time services was just 84%. 2003 saw considerable growth in the actual figure, at nearly 85%.

Starting at approximately 70, the numbers of complaints of bus passengers increased to 100 in 2000 before falling back to just over 80. This figure then climbed up in the next 2 years, 110 and 120 respectively.
