The charts below show the proportions of British students at one university in English who were able to speak other languages in addition to English, in 200 and 2010.

Clearly, the German speakers remained the same than the other languages that accounted ups and downs throughout the period. Also, Spanish was most spoken language after English.

As is visible, in year 2000 Spanish speakers were in great numbers(30%),the trend was same in 2010 but with a 5% increase. The similar rise can be seen in the population of those who used any other language than the given or two languages with English from 15% and 10% in 2000. Only 10% of total used German which remained the same across the period.

Whereas, the proportion of students using French and only English got decreased in the ten years span from the 20% and 15% in 2000, respectively and remained to a same as to German's.
