The charts below show the proportions of British students at one university in England who were able to speak other languages in addition to English, in 2000 and 2010.

The charts illustrate the percentage of British students at an English university who can speak other languages besides English in 2000 and 2002.

As we can see from the pie charts, most students can speak at least one other language. In 2000, about 20% of the students only speak English and the number is reduced to 10 % in 2010.

For the students who speak more than one languages, Spanish is the most popular one. The figure grows from 30% in 2000 to 35% in 2010. French is the second most popular language among the students in 2000. But the figure decrease to 10% in 2010.

There is about 10 percent of the students who speak German in 2000. The figure leveled off between 2000 and 2010.

About 15% of the students speak another language in 2000, and the number grows to 20% in 2010. The students who speak two other languages takes 10% of all the students in 2010. However, more students speak two other languages in 2010, as the number grows to 15%.

In sum, there are more students who can speak another language other them English in 2010 than in 2000. Students generally have more capabilities to speak multi-languages.
