The two charts gives information about why people is travel and the main problems for American to travel public in the year 2009. Overall. The most common purpose of travelling is to and from work. It also can be seen that the most popular number of the travelling public in US was the price of travel.
It is clearly that work made up 49% of the reasons for journey while the personal reasons just accounted for two fifth of the former ( 19%). By contrast, there was very little people travel because of shopping, social / recreation or visit friends / relatives, which just had a minor ratio ( around 16% to 6% ).
As we were known that one of the most popular issues for public travel in American in 2009 was the price of travel, which made up 36%. The safety concerns was the second common problem in US which approximately 20%. Besides, while aggressive drivers and highway congestion accounted for 17% and 14%, under 8% and 6% people worried about how to access the public vehicle and the space for pedestrians.
