Essay topics:

The charts below show UK and USA energy consumption in 2000 and 2006.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Two bar charts demonstrate the percentage of energy utilizing in the UK and the USA in 2006 and 2009.
In two years, oil, on average, remains the highest of all types of energy in both countries. Oil reached 37 percent in the USA in 2000, accompanying with 28 percent of which in the UK; meanwhile, oil increased marginally (about 2 percent) for each in 2006.
Besides, the second lowest and the lowest in both years are nuclear power and other renewable sources. While the USA's consumption seems to be the same (about 5%), the UK's dropped about 10 percent, ending at 5 and 7 percent in 2006.
The two others, coal and gas, have fluctuated wildly. At the year 2000, coal's percentage is way higher than those of gas, with 30% and 33% compared to 20% and 11% of the UK and the USA. The picture swaps their places 6 years later, with gas's consumption, on average, easily outnumber coal's. Although gas and coal share quite the same figure, the percentage of gas consumption triples that of coal in the UK.
Overall, the using amount of fossil fuels is extremely higher than those of renewable energy sources.
