The charts below show what UK graduate and postgraduate students who did not go into full-time work did after leaving collage in 2008.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

These two bar charts illustrate what UK graduates and postgraduates did after they graduated from schools in 2008. Units are measured in the number of students.

Overall, students tended to keep studying after they graduated from the university. There were 29665 graduates decided to pursue graduate degrees and 2725 postgraduates applied for Phd programs or took for professional certificates.

The first choice of UK graduates was to develop their professional skills, next is to have a part-time work, and the third and fourth choice is to stay unemployed and do voluntary work respectively. Over half of graduates who decide to keep learning, while roughly one-fourth of graduates would have a part-time job and are unsure whether their future plans.

Regarding the destination of UK postgraduates, these people decisions are slightly different from those of graduates. Part-time work and further study are the top two choices and these two destinations have almost the same number of students. The least number of students' destination is to do the voluntary work.

When comparing these two bar charts, we can see that the decisions of graduates and postgraduates are different and postgraduates prefer to have a part-time job that graduates.
