The charts below show what UK graduate and postgraduate students who did not to go into full-time work did after leaving college in 2008. Summarise the information.
The column graphs below show the different occupations of uk graduate and postgraduate students who did not have full-time jobs after college in 2008. Overall, it has to be pointed out that the number of graduate students is ten times that of postgraduates, as this helps to better understand the charts. Considering all of the graduate students, the vast majority - around 30 thousand, choose to continue their studies, while approximately 17000 students found a part-time job. Unfortunately, a large compound of uk students was unemployed, with the number rounding up to 15000, and voluntary work being chosen by more or less 3000 of them.
For the postgraduate students, the situation was not very different in 2008: slightly less than 3000 of them chose to continue on with their studies, with another smaller group of 2500 people who went into part-time work. Although 1600 postgraduates remained unoccupied, a modest bracket of 400 students chose voluntary work.
In the final analysis, the employment situation in 2008 for graduate and postgraduate students was pretty much the same, with the vast majority choosing to continue expanding their education.
