The charts give information about world forest in five different regions. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant

The given pie charts illustrate five different areas in terms of the proportion of world forest and timber in each region.
We can clearly see that Africa account for the largest percentage of world forest while it is the opposite for Asia. It can also be seen that North America is the country with the largest amount of timber whereas Africa has the lowest figure out of all regions.

In the first chart, the majority of the world’s forest can be found in Africa and North America, at 27% and 25% respectively. In contrast, only 16% of global forest can be found in South America, and 14% for that of Asia. Europe countries make up for the remaining 18% of total forest in the world.

Turning to the proportion of timber in each region, North America has the highest percentage, at 30%, while it is 23% and 20% for that of South America and Europe consecutively. Asian countries account for 18% of timber in each region, which double that of Africa.
