The charts give information about world forest in five different regions
The pie charts compare the proportions of forests in five provinces around the world and the percentage of timber in those places.
Overall, it can be seen that Africa is the largest figure of world forest, while the opposite is true for Asia. Additionally, North America has data the highest of timber. Furthermore, despite containing numerous areas of world forest, Africa contributes the lowest proportion of timber.
Regarding the first chart, the percentage of world forest reach the highest in Africa at 27%, follow by North America at a quarter of the total arear. The lower figure found in Europe is 18%,whilst forests in South America, and Asia account for 16% and 14% respectively.
In terms of second chart, North America contains 33% of wood, which is 7% higher than figure for South America. The amount of timber in Europe is slightly lower, at 20 %. Meanwhile, Asia is just 18% and Africa contains only half of that, at 9%.
