The graph illustrates average monthly temperatures and precipitation in the city of Kolkata. At first glance, it is evident that rainfall has wide variations between months whereas temperatures have not significant changes.
From January to April, precipitation reach at a low level, at just under 50mm. To May this figure begins to increase considerably, peaking at approximately 330mm in June. The lowest temperature is in January, at just under 20 C, then it rise slightly and peaking at around 30 C in May.
Rainfall starts to fall in August and it is only around 150mm in October. Continuously, the figure for November and December is the lowest of the year, while average temperatures in July, August and September are the same level, at 27C. Similar with rainfall, temperatures begin to decrease in October, being only 20C I December.
