Deaths in Someland 1990 and medical research funding in Someland
The presented bar chart illustrates the statistics for the plenty of causes of deaths being triggered by six diseases, such as AIDS, Leprosy, Tropical Diseases, Diarrhea, Malaria and TB, while the other indicates the data for the volume of research funds for those in Someland in the year 1990.
Overall, it is worth noticing that there is a slight contrast between the number of deaths and the research investment fund of the diseases.
The number of people dying of TB reached over 1.75 millions, which is approximately three and a half times as high as that of Diarrhoea. This disease, however, just got under 25 million dollars in research funding being the lowest. Besides that, all other diseases have less than 0.5 million deaths, respectively about 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 million deaths from AIDS, Tropical Diseases, Malaria. And last but not least, Leprosy had the fewest at approximately 0.1 million.
In stark contrast, the amount of money budgeted to AIDS received about 180 million dollars being the highest funding which was fold-three as high as that of Diarrhoea. There was a similar scenario between Leprosy and Tropical Diseases all being sponsored nearly 80 million dollars. Finally, the funding of Malaria received 50 million dollars.
