The diagram below describes how stormwater is recycled in an Australian city.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The given process demonstrates the recycling procedure for stormwater in an Australian metropolitan region.
Overall, there are 9 steps in the process, beginning with water congregation and ending with water pumping for household consumption.
In the beginning, rain water is stored within sewers which funnels it to a long narrow passage leading to the recycling plant. Following this, the water the undergoes a four-stage purification process, starting with the removal of plastic and trash pieces. Next small particles of dirt and rock are clearly eliminated before the water is disinfected from harmful micro-organisms. The last phase of this process is the clearing of unwanted molecules and salt to guarantee the water cleanness.
After that the water is mixed with chlorine as an antimicrobial at a level of 4 mg per litter for further filtration. After this step, the water is kept in a large tank prior to being pumped for residence consumption.
