The diagram below shows the development of a particular area between 1965 and the present day.
The two maps below demonstrate how a particular area has transformed from 1965 to now. Overall, it is easy to see that this area has been urbanized to become a far more modern city over this period.
Looking at the changes in more detail, the most significant change of this area is the construction of a road bridge, which replaces the old ferry. While in 1965, it was impossible to pass through the river by walking, now, a road bridge leading the way to the city has been erected over the river. To the north of this road, the forests were completely cut down for the introduce of a new car park. Besides, there is a footbridge which is located in front of a second car park runs parallel to the road bridge.
The two maps also illustrate some developments in residential area. In 1965, there were only four houses on the top right-hand side of this particular area. However, in recent days, not only much more houses but also some new apartments have been built in this area. Houses located on both sides of the main road and even alongside the road bridge. A third car park is constructed in the heart of new housing area, which accesses residents here to the main road.
