The diagram below shows how the power of water is used to generate electricity

Essay topics:

The diagram below shows how the power of water is used to generate electricity.

provided diagram depicts the way by which electricity is harnessed from water power. As illustrated, four stages are required to produce hydroelectric energy.
In the beginning of the process, the collected water in the reservoir is passed through an intake into the the dam and raised by it to create falling water. In the next stage, falling water is regulated and flowed down through sluice gate to a turbine. The pressure the water flow creates, trigger the turbine to spin to and thereby the kinetic energy of falling water is converted to mechanical energy. Then, as a result of the turbine spinning, the generator is also activated as it is connected to the turbine which lead to turning of the mechanical energy into electrical power and the remaining water is released . Finally, as the newly produced current voltage is high, it is carried out to a substation transformer in order to reduce its voltage o 220-240 v and after that it is supplied to different places.
In the summary, It can be seen that the procedure begins with the trapped water in the reservoir and ends with the transfer of power to its various destinations via transmission lines
