Overall, there are a number of stages in this process, beginning with water being taken from the sea and ending with the supply of integrated water.

At the first stage of the process, saltwater is collected from the sea, after which it undergoes the filtering stage so that the solid objects or debris can be removed before sending them back to the sea. Subsequently, the filtered water is forced through a membrane at high pressure where water molecules are passed through and salt and other impurities are completely disposed of and returned back to the sea.

The process continues with the post treatment stage, at which point the water is treated with lime, chlorine and fluoride to make it clean and drinkable. At the final stage of the process, the purified water is stored in a container and is then delivered to the integrated water system where it is ready for being distributed for consumption.
